Synopsis:

Yen and Ai-Lee are two women who look identical—one killed her father to protect her mother, while the other tries to understand life through acting. After serving an eight-year sentence, Yen returns to her hometown, only to face judgment and an unending sense of fate repeating itself, especially when her mother's new boyfriend becomes abusive.
As a shared secret between Yen and Ai-Lee is revealed, Yen must confront whether she can escape the tragic cycle. This film marks the first collaboration between the director and his wife, Kimi Hsia, with performances from award-winning actress Yang Kuei-Mei and Sam Tseng. The story explores the complex, mirrored relationship between mother and daughter, questioning whether their bond is one of endless betrayal or lifelong connection.
